My Review of The Elephant Man
In my opinion, The Elephant Man is among one of the best movies that I have seen so far. One of the main things that I liked about this movie was that it was based on true events because it gives the audience an insight as to what life was like in nineteenth century London. More importantly, it allows the viewer to experience the affair involving John Merrick as if they were there first hand, even though it occurred over one hundred years ago. I also enjoyed how the entire movie was shot in black and white to emphasize on the time frame in the past. The acting in the movie was also exceptional; the thoughts and actions portrayed by the characters were so realistic and convincing that they were actually able to manipulate my emotions and even forced me to reflect on my own moral behavior. I also appreciated how David Lynch was able to portray John Merrick as an intellectual, sophisticated, and optimistic individual in order to reveal to the audience that there was more to John than his physical appearance. Overall, The Elephant Man was a great film.

My Name is John Merrick
Today, I was forced to make an appearance at a freak show somewhere in France, far from London, far from home. I was not feeling very well, but I had no choice, the only person who could house me for now was Bytes. I remember being introduced as I stood behind the curtain waiting to make an appearance, an appearance that that would demean as a human being. As the curtain was drawn I stood up and turned around, but I was very ill and I collapsed and fell to the floor. Bytes was furious, he demanded that I stand up again but it was useless there was no point in asking me to stand up because I simply did not have enough strength physically and emotionally. Later that night, I could hear Bytes babbling on about who knows what and realized that he was probably drunk. I was trying to get some sleep when Bytes suddenly dragged me outside and threw me into a cage next to some aggressive baboons. I was scared, but I could not do anything to stop it, so I quietly accepted the fact that I would remain in the cage for the rest of the night. A few hours later, I noticed some of the other freaks approaching me and was shocked to find out that they wanted to help me. Words cannot even describe the gratitude I felt for their extreme kindness as they helped me out of the cage and escape into the night.

Welcome To My Nightmare...
The last nightmare I remember having took place a couple of months ago. I remember being in a dark, secluded area and I felt as if someone was staring at me from a distance. Naturally, I decided to run without really thinking of what I was going to do next. I ran into a dark, wet cobblestone corridor that seemed to get longer as moved forward. Eventually I reached a dead end and I turned around to see a shadow-like figure approaching me. With nowhere to run, I remained still, paralyzed by fear. I blinked and when I opened my eyes I saw that I was being stabbed repeatedly. And before I was able to do anything else, I realized that I was already dead and everything went pitch black. After that I woke up and realized that I had a nightmare, probably because I had watched CSI before going to sleep.
