Beginning, Middle, and End

The movie Artificial Intelligence is an excellent example of a film with a great ending. For those of you who haven't seen the movie, the plot consists of a boy who happens to be searching for his long lost mother. The only problem is that the boy doesn't know that he is a robot and believes that he was lost when he was actually abandoned. At the end, the boy finds out that he is in fact, a robot, and that his mother had passed away several years ago. However, a group of intelligent life forms find the boy and are able to resurrect his mother for a single day. The fact that makes this movie ending great is that the boy is able to reunite with his mother despite the constraints of time and mortality that would have otherwise made his dream impossible. In everyone's life there is always a beginning, middle, and an end, no matter what point in time it may be. At this point in my life, my time to become independent is beginning. Soon enough, I'll be off to a college or university and will probably move out of my home and possibly even the state, depending on where I may end up. I'll have to begin to make some career choices and maybe even get a part time job. This beginning however, results from an end of another thing. That is, the end of my carefree youth. From now on, I will no longer be able to enjoy the trouble free lifestyle that I have now, there will be several challenges to come along with adulthood and difficult decisions will have to be made. Therefore, I must mature and try to make as little mistakes as possible in order to succeed in the future.
